I went to support Strathmore College’s Strategic Employment Group at the JCB headquarters in Rocester with their employer open day forum.

Only six percent of young adults with a disability or learning difficulties are in full-time, paid employment which emphasises the importance of schemes such as this.

It is fantastic seeing firms from across the city get on board with the initiative, offering the chance to develop skills for the workplace to people who far too often get frozen out of the labour market.
