Despite historically being a safe city, Knife crime is on the rise in Stoke-on-Trent. Our local schools, colleges and third sector organisations are stepping up to help tackle this problem at its root. It's high time the government gave our police the resources they need to keep our communities safe before these problems escalate. Nearly a decade of Tory cuts has left our police in a situation where they are under-resourced and this is having real consequences on the ground in our communities.
