I held my final street surgery of the year in Springfields and Trent Vale yesterday evening. As you would expect Brexit dominated many of the conversations I had with residents. But residents were also keen to discuss cuts to local council services and their shock at the rise of food bank usage in our communities.

In the new year I’ll continue to knock doors every week, because that’s the only way you can really keep in touch with what people think. If you’ve opened up your door and taken the time to speak to me or my team this year we really appreciate your time and your feedback.
