Gareth Snell Labour and Co-operative Candidate for Stoke-on-Trent Central
Yesterday in the House of Commons I called on the Government to give more consideration to small towns in their plans for the UK Shared Prosperity fund.
Current rules rely on match funding which the small towns in and around Stoke-on-Trent struggle to meet, meaning funding always ends up going to the big cities.
It’s time we had fairer rules to build prosperity in our small towns and help us faciliate economic growth outside the south east of England.
