There has been an abhorrent abdication of political leadership at Stoke-on-Trent City Council. It’s simply unacceptable that OFSTED have branded our children’s services ‘inadequate’ and reported that there are ‘widespread and serious failures which leave children at risk of significant harm’.

How can it be right that senior members of the council’s political leadership team didn’t even attend corporate parenting committee meetings for TWO YEARS?
