For 18 months we have been campaigning for the City Council to complete the contract for a dedicated CT scanner for the Coroner’s Office. This is vital to speed up autopsies and make sure that grieving families don’t face unnecessary delays when planning the funeral of a loved one.

We’re delighted to be able to report that the contract with iGene for a new CT scanner is finally progressing. The new CT scanner should be fully operational for digital autopsies by the end of the year. This is a significant development for the city and will make a real difference to families across the Potteries.
